Pam & Stuart
In 2015 Pam Nelson and Stuart Welham cooked up the idea for opening a Bike Kitchen in Colchester, after seeing the amazing work Jo and Jay were doing with Wivenhoe Bike Kitchen and Transition Town Wivenhoe.
Stuart
Stuart co-founded the Bike Kitchen with Pam and Mike, and passed away in 2017. As well as the legacy of the bike kitchen itself, Stuart very kindly bought us our first “proper” set of workshop tools from Park Tool, esentially setting us up for life. Thank you Stuart.
Pam
Pam was the extraordinary driving force behind establishing the bike kitchen with Stuart and Mike in 2015, and very sadly passed away on 7th July 2023. Without Pam’s unstoppable enthusiasm and constant stream of ideas the Bike Kitchen wouldn’t be what it is today. We hope we’ve carried that legacy with us!
